Wicked Good

Liz Sizemore

To the editor:

Thanks for your article on the Crown Pilot cracker “problem” (WWF April 2008). Although I’m from “away” and have never eaten or made chowder with them, they top my list for crackers. That comes from a “cracker freak.”

These crackers are always in my cupboard with a back-up box ready at hand.

Realistically, I suppose Nabisco, along with the rest of the world, is based on the theory that new is always better. A large part of the public seems to be hungry for that, and profit has to be the motivator.

Presumably, I think they should be proud of the history of the Pilot, even build an advertising project around it.
But then I’m partial to those things — and it is a wicked good cracker.

P.S. I really like mine with jam (plum) with or without butter — and a glass of milk. Yum!
